Hijab Revival

I was sent a gorgeous package a while ago from the UK based hijab company Hijab Jewels. In this cute package I found some of the most beautiful hijabs I have seen in a while. Now I know I always go gaga over hijabs (I mean which hijabi wouldn't right?) but I can honestly say these ones are something special.

Made exclusively for Hijab Jewels the aptly named Pink Chic, Navy Chic and Wool lace hijabs are superb quality. As soon as I pulled the maxi hijabs out in knew it would be love at first wear. Now the Pink and Navy Chic hijabs are transparent but after wearing my usual undercap and folding the hijab in half (like I normally do) there was absolutely no transparency evident.

Styling the hijab around my face and chest was extremely easy as the fabric is very soft and fluid. I easily draped and folded it in any way I wanted. The wool lace hijab is perfect for the cooler weather to keep your ears nice and snug. Just like you would wear socks and gloves in chilly weather, you would also be wise to wear a nice thick hijab to keep your head and face warm. The wool lace hijab is made of 100% wool so again you are getting quality rather than the usual polyester. I really appreciated the way Hijab Jewels sew on their label on each of their hijabs so that you know you are getting quality and exclusivity. And to make them even more fabulous Hijab Jewels recently launched their very own clothing line so make sure you go and take a look at their beautiful collection. I was also sent this cute bow bangle (spend £30 or more and receive the bangle free!) and also these pretty as a picture hijab pins!

This weeks style focus is featuring a relatively new company called Hijab Jewels.

Hijab Jewels, as the name suggests, specialise in providing scarves, that are suitable for everyday wear whilst also having an array of other items including pins and jewelery.

Here we have two floral scarves modelled by the lovely Nargis, which are right in and will be for the next season, a ring and also some pins from the company.

The first one is Blue Nile, which is at a reasonable £6.80 especially for a maxi scarf.

The second one is called Teal Efflorescence, and also priced at £6.80. Both scarves are generous sizes and perfect for adding layers.

These two beautiful hijab pins are available at £1.50 each for the Emerald Flower, and £0.90 for Rock and Rose Grey one.

Finally, we received this stunning Princess ring which is priced at £6. It guarantees bling and is a great addition to your never ending ring collection!

Hijab Jewels have a great collection, fast delivery, good customer service and thoughtful packaging. It is nice to see a company that prides itself on its customer satisfaction.

Hijab Styles

Hijab Jewels is a UK-based company selling hijabs and accessories via their website. They recently sent me a few of their products to review. The package was sent by 1st class recorded delivery, and a tracking number provided, which is always useful when you want to know the status of your order.

The Bluebell hijab is a large cotton scarf measuring 200cm x 70cm, with a fringed border. It has a pretty blue, purple and green print on a beige background. The fabric itself is very lightweight, and actually appears to be two layers stuck together to giver a thicker, more sturdy scarf. It stays in place easily throughout the day and holds its shape well.

The Black Spring Maxi hijab is a very large scarf. At one layer thick, it is quite see-through, so I personally found I had to fold it over in half lengthways before wearing it. This does make it quite bulky though, but is good if you like more voluminous hijab styles. The design is very pretty, with the print mainly along the borders and a few scattered petals in the centre, making it a great option if you're not a fan of busy printed scarves.

Next is the Pink Frosting pin, which is a handmade design. It's a simple stick pin with a moulded rose design at the end. Although I liked the design, I felt the rose itself is big for a pin, and looks a bit over the top for everyday use. The Pink Diamante Mini brooch came in a cute little organza gift bag. It's a really tiny piece (2.5cm diameter), but it makes it a lot easier to use on the hijab itself, unlike larger brooches which tend to drag on the fabric.

Overall I was quite happy with the Hijab Jewels items. I liked the prints and fabrics of the scarves, but found them a little too large (generally I'm not a fan of larger scarves anyway though). The delivery and customer service was great, and the website is easy to use and navigate.
